Search Engine Optimization is an important element of driving website traffic to your site. It also determines website ranking in search engines. It’s not enough to just get traffic. When ranking your site, search engines take into account more than just traffic. One of those elements are ‘visit lengths.
Statcounter.com states that visit lengths can be defined as the time between when a visitor visits your first webpage and when they reach the last. This measure isn’t 100% precise, but it’s close enough to give you important information about your visitors.
This information can be used to assess the “pull” and “interest” that your website is generating for visitors.
Simply stated, the higher your search engine standing, the longer the visitor stays.
Your statistics show that most of your website traffic is staying on your site for less than five second. Google and other search engines are aware of this. Your website or its contents may not be valuable enough for visitors to stay. A website with a lower rating for ‘pull and ‘interest’ will be ranked lower.

This information allows you “to see just how much pull’ or ‘interest’ your site is generating for your users.”
If you can keep a visitor’s attention for longer than 30 seconds, you are doing pretty well. Every increment beyond this demonstrates a rise in the ‘pull and ‘interest’ capabilities of your website.
You might be wondering how to get more website traffic to your site that stays longer than five minutes. This will boost your website ranking.
What time does it take to read an article?
Visitors will look for more information if they find the article informative. This encourages the visitor to go deeper into your website, reading older titles and finding more interesting articles. I’ve visited sites where I read more than three articles. It has led me to dig deeper into those sites.
This is how a visitor’s ‘pull-‘ and interest’ works. Information and interest are what draw visitors in. It is easier to find quality additional content. This will keep visitors’ attention for longer periods of time.
There are two simple ways to keep website visitors’ attention and improve website ranking.
1. Include embedded links in your content. If you use the term “marketing” in an article, link it to another article about marketing on your site.
2. Add three to four additional articles titles to your article at the end and link them directly from the articles.
Next time you publish an article on your website, be sure to include links from other articles. This is a proven method to hold and engage your visitors and increase your website’s ranking.
Why Business owners should do more than simply add content to a blog or web page.
A website is a great way to promote your business. If you have a website for your business (which I hope so!), it is important to think more than just writing text that is keyword rich. You should also make use of the Meta tags available to that page to increase its visibility in search engines.
HTML Meta tags are an integral part of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). To learn about Meta tag relevancy, and how to use them for your best client, you don’t need to be programmer.
Search engines are still in the early stages, so adding keywords meta tags to your website won’t help it rank higher in the search results. Meta tags are an excellent way for business owners and their users to give search engines and their users information about their site.
The negative consequences can be disastrous for your business if they are not used correctly.
Simply put, tags are short text fragments that describe a page’s contents. However, they don’t appear directly on the site. Instead, they appear only in the HTML code.
I will be covering the six main types of meta tags. You should pay close attention to these meta tags for all pages on your site, including blog posts.
1. Meta Keywords Attribute Keywords Meta Tag
A keyword meta tag can be a list of 10 to 15 essential ideas about your site. They should focus on a specific topic or theme of discussion on any given page or post.
As we have already mentioned, the meta tag “keywords”, which is the key to search engine development in the beginning stages, was vital. Microsoft’s Bing, however, is the only search engine that still considers these keywords. Bing also looks at keywords to identify spam.
We recommend that you add these tags to search engines even though most SEO experts advise against it.
2. The Title Tag
A title tag is, by contrast, the most important tag to use on a website or blog article.
Each page should be unique and have a title tag that explains the content.
You’ll always see the title tags for every web page at top of your browser. These give the viewer direction and, more importantly, give the search engines a primary view into the content of that page.
You should use keywords in your title tag, but only in a way that is understandable to the reader. This will help you draw them in to read the entire piece.
3. The H1 Heading Tags and Other Heading Tags
These tags are crucial. These tags are important because they will be used as context indicators by search engines.
Header tags are a must-have for on-site SEO. Studies have shown that they can improve rankings.
You can use heading tags to organize your article and page.
* H1 tag – What is this page about?
* H2,H3, H4 tags – What is this section?
4. Meta Description Attribute Meta Description
The Meta description, which is a brief summary sentence that appears under the Page Title in search result pages, is first and foremost.
Meta description information often appears in search engine results pages (Search Engine Results’ Pages). This page’s description is also shown in the SERPs.
While Google stated that keywords included in meta descriptions do not have an impact on website ranking, many SEO leaders consider them very important.
We believe that relevant keywords, in well-researched geographic areas, can only help improve your website’s ranking.
The Meta description tag should also be considered as your SERP sales pitch. You can use this tag to describe the page so that the user will want it to click.
It is not easy to make the description sound both practical and sensible. That’s why we are here!
5. Meta Robots Attribute
Although the meta robots attribute is less well-known, it ranks as the second most important meta tag. These tags guide search engines to what to do about your webpages.
* HTML code HTML: index/noindex – Whether to display your page in the SERPs or not
* Follow/nofollow – This tells the engines what you do with your pages’ links, and whether they trust your links to the next pages.
6. Blog Post Tags
Blog post tags are not official Meta tags but they can be very useful for site visitors and search engines.
To ensure that visitors are able to find the information they need, tags can be used in WordPress as “categories” to add to blog posts.
Visitors will find blog post tags useful because they are able to identify specific posts.
Blog post tags, in essence, categorize information on a web page and group it into topics. This, in turn, will improve your site ranking.
